5.0 out of 5 stars Accepting Destiny and facing fears, December 18, 2014

Sorry it took me a few to get the review up. I was given this book for an honest review and I couldn’t put it down. It had me hooked from the first page who doesn’t like to read about a teenage girl who finds herself, her destiny and saves basically the world:).. can’t forget flirting either lol. The difference in culture and some history is amazing. It takes you on a journey that flows so perfectly you can picture you right there beside her going through everything.

In Realm of the Goddess a YA novel by Sabina Khan, sixteen year old Callie discovers that she is actually an incarnation of the goddess Kali and she must now prepare to defeat a host of demons determined to bring the world into chaos.
An awesome adventure story with a strong female lead and just a dash of romance, Realm of the Goddess, hooks you in from the very first page and refuses to let go until the shocking conclusion.

I am nearly finished and didn’t want to put it down however I also don’t want it to end 😦 The rich cultural details and descriptions had me wanting to sample all of the foods mentioned and further fuelled my desire to visit this Country and see what I only have read about.

I liked that this story has a strong female protagonist and I also found the Hindu mythology very interesting. There is plenty of suspense and action, as well as a bit of romance. An enjoyable read.
